Joffre Jr. has a broken femur
So Joffre Jr. broke his femur (thigh bone). He was playing tackle with another child from church and just fell wrong. It was very weird. He is in a cast that goes from above the waist down one whole leg. He can't even sit up the poor guy. 6 weeks of lying in bed for a 3 year old. He's doing great so far. He is such a good natured little guy. He'll probably end up watching more movies than I like but coloring and puzzles only go so far. Joffre has hijacked the camera so I can't take pictures still but soon I will rescue it. You will see my nifty new fence and my sweet son in his blue cast. Say a prayer for his leg to heal well without complications.

Fence of Love
I went on vacation for a week to my parents and had a great time. I forgot my camera like a ninny though. I came back on Mother's Day (much tanner than before) and to my surprise my backyard was fenced in with a nice new wooden fence. My husband put up this fence himself (with some help) to surprise me for Mother's Day. Ahh, amore. I forgot to take a picture today but I'll post a picture tomorrow. We have been having some security issues and were a bit worried about the kids. Now I can turn my back and weed the garden without being afraid they will run in the road. It's fantastic. He did it in 2 days. Now I want to go on vacation again. Maybe I'll get a gazebo this time.

Garden
Today I'm hoping to plant most of my garden. I already am getting strawberries and my onions are growing. I'm having serious battles with the birds over my strawberries. They are tasty. I also am happy to see my flowers blooming. The tulips and daffodils are done , the iris are blooming and my peonies are about to bloom. The pictures don't do justice to the colors of these flowers but it is the best I can do. I have more room this year and I'm hyped to try more stuff. I'm leaving for W. Palm Beach with the kids to visit the fam and I'm nervous about how my garden will fare at this fragile stage.

The Ball and strawberries

Here's my strawberry patch and I've got a bunch of strawberries growing. I'm excited. Soon I'll be planting the rest of the garden. I've been loving our warm beautiful weather. The kids and I have been having snack time or lunch picnic style.
We had our Resurrection Ball for church and had a great time. My pictures all turned out lousy though. Sorry. I was still sick and got worn out after I danced the Patty Cake Polka with Joffre Jr. The kids really are getting into the balls and enjoying them now. That's fun.

Better ?
Well I ended up with a sinus infection. Since I'm pregnant I have to just sweat it out. I think I had a turn for the better yesterday, and today I feel pretty well. We just had a 10 degree drop in temperature so I'm not sure if this is temporary or really improvement. Hope and pray for the best.
The kids are still pretty bored but are really doing well. I got the game Hungry Hippos from the thrift store awhile back and they have rediscovered it. They love banging away on that those hippos . I'm also reading The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe to them and they are loving it. They are just the right age for it and have the attention span to listen.
Today I got to have yummy bagel egg sandwiches made for me for breakfast by my husband. He has been super busy working at the store and one of our employees was out of town. So it is so nice to finally see him this week. I'm looking forward to being well and working at the store again. It's fun and I (embarrassed look) still need to finish the dragon on the mural in the kids room. I'll post a picture of it when I remember to take one.
This Friday is our church's Resurrection Ball and I bought a maternity dress on ebay and everything. I'm determined to go. Pray for my nose!

It has been a rough week. The kids and I were sick with an ugly head cold last week and I thought I was on the mend. Then this week I came down with a fever and have been shivering in bed while the kids go crazy and watch movies. I ended up sweating and panting after vacuuming the living room and kitchen.
Today was a cream of the crop day. Joffre Jr accidentally punched his sister in the nose. This sent Renata into hysterics as her nose was bleeding profusely. After I calmed them down and had Renata laying on the couch George kept stealing things from his brother to get him to chase him around the house. He laughed delightedly throughout this procedure. When I put a stop to the snatching he settled for running around the coffee the table going aaaaaaaaaaagggggggggghhhhh continually. I started to feel a desire to follow his example.
