Coneflowers

This echinacea came up from seeds I planted last year. I am a little embarrassed to admit I am not a big daisy type flower fan. I do like them especially in large quantity covering fields but I just have a hard time finding a place for them in my garden .

I do like these fun colored coneflowers popping up. I have a hedge of boxwoods along the fence in our front yard and I have been considering putting colored coneflowers between it and the fence. I like the idea of the formal boxwood  holding in the " wildish" garden.

Polka dots

Look at this cute combo.

Wedding kissing booth

We went to a fun wedding this past weekend and it had fun dress up booths and games. I had to drag reluctant boys to dress up for me but then they got into it.

Sitting at the table

Sitting at the table and loving it!

We are remodeling our kitchen floor. It had linoleum on on it. The boys and Joffre ripped up the subfloor. ( the boys LOVED getting to be destructive). We were frustrated when we rented a dancer from Lowes because they were out of the coasters sand paper for the machine. We found that we just couldn't get up some of the glue without the rougher sandpaper. So it looks like we will have to rent again. It is very exciting though.
I am choosing a paint color because there is water damage in one area. I am choosing between various mushroom colors (Brown grays).

Harvest

My favorite harvest time is happening! We have been getting lettuce and kale and peas but those are not nearly as exciting as the berries! Look at these big blue beauties. Ahhhh ... So excited.

This climbing New Dawn rose is only two years old and look how full it is already. I am excited to see it fill in more this year.

Garden Overview Part 2

Our tiny cherry tree is producing more cherries! We've been keeping count and I think we are at 12.

Red Eden Rose

My fig tree did not like our cold winter. I am hoping it will recover but I think it will need some severe pruning.

Gourd Projects

We had so many gourds last year we are having to come up with some gourd projects. So far we have a planter and a fairy house.
